Dutt appointed new DFB sporting director

Former Leverkusen coach Robin Dutt will join the German Football Federation (DFB) as a technical director, according to reports in Germany. The 47-year-old has been out of a job since being sacked by Leverkusen in April after a run of poor results in the Bundesliga. He will take over from Matthias Sammer, who vacated the role at the beginning of the month to take up a similar position at Bayern Munich.
