Abu Lakulaku (middle with the Imam Muslim Clerics and Imams from Kubilmahagu in the Tamale South Constituency of the Northern Region have vowed to withdraw their support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stating that the party is not worth dying for.  They say they have now seen the wickedness of the ruling NDC towards members of the Zongo Communities and as such would not allow themselves to be used by a party which only recognized their contributions during elections.     The Imams alleged that members of the NDC were made up of greedy individuals who did not want the welfare of the populace; reasons for which it was counteracting the free Senior High School (SHS) by the NPP flagbearer.  According to them, they were still wondering why the NDC was going about attacking the NPP which through the pro-poor SHS would lessen the burden of parents who wished to have their wards pursue SHS education but did not have the capacity to finance it.  “It was therefore welcoming news when we heard the NPP flagbearer will be implementing this if mandated in the General Elections,” they observed.   Spokesperson of the Muslim Clerics and Imams, Afa Aminu Ahmed, who disclosed this during a courtesy call on them by the NPP National Nasara Coordinator, Abubakari Sulemana aka Lakulaku, promised they would embark on a religious warfare to intercede on behalf of the NPP flagbearer for victory during the polls.    According to Afa Aminu, there was the need for the recognition of religious warning that any plans to drift away from them could cost the party.  He disclosed that the NPP going into opposition was just to allow Ghanaians to appreciate the contributions of the erstwhile NPP government under former President John Agyekum Kufuor.  He observed that Ghanaians had seen the current trend of events in the country and would no longer allow themselves to be deceived into voting for the wrong individuals and political party that would tend to worsen their predicament. National Nasara Coordinator Abubakari Sulemana lauded them for their resolve to contribute to enhancing the chances of the NPP and its leader disclosing that Nana Akufo-Addo was a God-fearing person who recognized and appreciated the role of the religious leaders.  He disclosed that their reward, should the NPP win, would come from heaven as God would recognize their various contributions in relieving the people of the country from the shackles of a government that was only interested in satisfying its members.
