Election petitioners raise issues with KPMG audit

Lawyers for the petitioners in the Election 2012 disputed polls currently before the Supreme Court are protesting the failure of auditing firm, KPMG to meet with parties to discuss its draft report of audited pink sheet evidence ahead of submission to the court. KPMG was to submit Friday, its final report of audited polling station pink sheets the petitioners presented to the court as evidence of alleged anomalies and irregularities based on which they want the court to overturn the results of the 2012 presidential polls. KPMG had said that while it was not opposed to the submission of comments by the parties, it would proceed to submit its report as scheduled barring any difficulties, as the comments were not a requirement towards the completion of its work.But the petitioners are not happy that KPMG had ignored the request, saying it was a clear breach of an agreement initialed by the parties to be allowed to submit comments on a draft report and discuss same ahead of the submission of the final report...
