Transport operators have vowed to kick against regular fuel price adjustments by government.The National Petroleum Authority is pushing for the total removal of subsidies on all petroleum products for consumers to pay for the full cost.This, Joy Business has learnt, is part of government's plans to undertake a periodic review in fuel prices as required by law.Analysts have hailed it as critical for government to reduce its subsidy arrears which has hit 500 million cedis.But the General Secretary of the Ghana Road Transport Co-ordinating Council, Alhaji Aliu Baba tells Joy Business, any such attempts would be unacceptable.Alhaji Aliu Baba adds that if anything at all, government would have to first consult the stakeholders as has been the practice over the years.
