Former Director General of the Ghana Health Service and a former Presidential hopeful of the CPP has bemoaned the politics of money, corruption and trickery, describing the general electoral population as corrupt.He recounted his experiences and the harsh reality when he vied as Presidential candidate of the CPP.He said he was confronted many times by the delegates some of who said “four years ago we gave you votes, we didn’t get anything. This time around give us something before you begin to talk”.He made these submissions on Tarzan’s Take on Multi TV and added that even after you have given them (the delegates and electorates) something, “they look at the highest bidder and whatever you have to talk about does not matter. Whether you are espousing issues that will bring comfort to them, they are saying they don’t want it next year, they want it now and that in a sense corrupts the system”.As far as going round and seeking political office in Ghana, no matter who you are, “if you don’t pay, you don’t get elected,” he added. ...
