Officials of Ghana Football Association have taken steps to contact Arsenal starlet Zak Ansah to commit his international future to Ghana, according to reports in the Ghanaian press.
The 18-year-old striker was invited by Ghana U20 last June but he failed to show up in Accra after his father had verbal confrontation with Black Satellites Management Committee chief George Afriyie.
Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh has been looking around at foreign players available and identified the Arsenal U21 striker who has a professional contract at Arsenal.
Reports in the Ghanaian press claim officials of the Ghana Football Association have began talks with Ansah’s parents in a bid to convince him to commit his future to Ghana.
However, if the striker decides to play for Ghana, he would need a clearance from FIFA as he has already represented England at U16 and U17 levels.
Ansah’s father is one of the cult figures at English lower-tier side Luton Town because of his impressive performance for the club.
Ansah together with Daniel Boateng and Emmanuel Frimpong form a Ghana trident at Arsenal.
