Boxing News of Wednesday, 20 March 2013 Source: Daily Graphic Ghana’s Joseph Agbeko and Luis Melendez of Colombia will hold a media workout in Accra this Wednesday ahead of their IBO bantamweight title fight on Friday.The media workout at the Bridge Boxing Gym at Roman Ridge is one of the final pre-fight events, and will see the two fighters go through series of workouts for the media.It will be Melendez’s second day at training in Ghana since his arrival in the capital on Monday night.At the Bridge Gym Tuesday, he began his daily workouts under the supervision of his technical team in the afternoon after Ghana’s Agbeko departed from the facility earlier.Melendez, 33, who said he would upset Agbeko on Friday to clinch the world title, is seeking his biggest prize in the sport after failed attempts in 2007 and 2012 for similar full world titles.Agbeko, 32, is already a two-time world champion, who has been buoyed by the fact of fighting before his compatriots for the first time in more than five years.Both boxers have sounded confident in the pre-fight talks, but Agbeko’s pedigree as a credible contender for the world title has earned him favourite status.
