Ghana loses millions in multiple salary payments

The government lost millions of cedis as a result of multiple payments to 1,800 active employees and pensioners in unearned monthly salaries and pensions from the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) in 2011. According to the 2011 Auditor-General’s Report, those multiple payments were effected to the beneficiaries through the same bank account
