The leadership of the National Democratic Party (NDC) in the Ashanti region is calling on party supporters to continue to exercise restraint following yesterday’s incidence at Behinase, a suburb of Bekwai leaving Mr. Salisu Musa, Chairman of the NDC in Bekwai constituency in the Ashanti Region with multiple machete wounds on his head and hands and fracturing his jaw.
The party says it is pleased with the supporters conduct but also asked the security to be up and doing to arrest assailants. Salisu Musa was returning from a place of convenience when he was attacked by unknown assailants, inflicting multiple machete wounds on his head and hands and fracturing his jaw. The victim is currently at the Accident and Emergency Centre of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital receiving medical attention. The Ashanti regional secretary of the party explained to the Joy news team how the incident occurred but made an appeal to the security to get the perpetrators of the act and bring them to book. He however, expressed his happiness with the conduct of party supporters who have restrained themselves in spite of the number of regrettable attacks on them. He urged them to continue to exercise restraint in the region.
